Missional Unity
Ephesians 4 declares that there is only one God and one Church. In John 17, we see that Jesus prayed for the glory of the Father to manifest through the unity of the Church. Why, then, is the visible manifestation of the Body of Christ so divided? To be unified, many people believe core doctrines must be compromised and convictions must be surrendered. Why are Christians complicated by their innumerable denominations and schisms? As we approach the coming of Christ, how can Christians proactively cooperate to advance the Kingdom of God and effectively communicate the Gospel? This course will major on teaching revealed in the New Testament about spiritual unity (who we are) which must result in missional unity (what we do).
