Missions & Evangelism

Syllabus

In this course, students will study the topic of Missions and Evangelism, reinforced by biblical teaching concerning the advance of the Gospel in this generation. From multiple places in scripture and The Joshua Website, students will gain a deeper understanding of God’s heart and His will concerning the billions of unsaved people alive today. This will inspire students to proactively answer the call of the Great Commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel, making disciples.

Goals & Objectives

Students will:

  • understand how God intertwines worship and evangelism through a study of the Psalms, which declare the glory of God and reveal His desire that all nations of the world believe in His Son
  • understand Christ’s commission to partner with Him in advancing the Gospel of the Kingdom locally and globally
  • demonstrate the relationship between historical biblical significance and the Great Commission
  • research topics related to specific 21st-century mission statistics, needs, and challenges
  • review current, specific information about unreached people groups
  • identify and analyze the 10/40 window, statistical graphs, articles and info grams that reinforce the great need and urgency of spreading the gospel to unreached people groups
  • compare the mandate to evangelize with the mandate to make disciples
