How to Study the Bible

This course is designed to teach some basic principles of inductive Bible study, general hermeneutics, and tools for independent Bible study. Students will gain knowledge and confidence as they pursue biblical knowledge and understanding.

Goals & Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will:

  • become familiar with various types of Bible study methods.
  • develop some skills necessary to study the Bible independently.
  • learn to feed themselves from God's word.
  • gain a basic understanding of the use of The Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance and how to implement the Word Study Method of the Bible using the concordance.
  • understand the importance of using biblical study tools to enhance and strengthen their study skills.
  • develop excitement and an appreciation for Bible study and biblical research.
  • develop the confidence in their own ability to study the Bible.
