Elisha: Discerning the Days, Part II

Eight Sessions

In this course, KINEO students will continue their studies in the life of the Old Testament Prophet, Elisha. This study is a continuation of the previous course on Elisha’s life called The God-Touched Life. Much emphasis in this study will highlight Elisha’s spiritual gifting and how we practically used those gifts in normal life situations. Much emphasis will be placed upon Elisha’s primary gift of the word of knowledge. Spiritual warfare, confrontation of sin, the development of the student’s own faith, and other principles will be spotlighted in each session. With the majority of emphasis coming from the biblical narrative of Elisha’s life, we will also be supplementing our course with the textbook, The Anointing by Dr. RT Kendall.

Goals & Objectives

KINEO students will learn from the life and ministry of Elisha that God expects us to be faith-filled and proactive in our pursuit of integrity, spiritual usefulness in the Kingdom, and devoted service to other people. Additionally, the student will be challenged to come out of agreement with lies that historically limit believers from fulfilling their calling from God. The student will be challenged to pursue a consecrated life which produces an anointing that will impact all those around them. Elisha’s biblical testimony will touch nearly every place which will arise in our lives as we follow God and lead people. The overarching goal is for the student to discern that these present days are very similar to the days of Elisha, and all believers would do well to cultivate a life and ministry similar to his.
